Bread is delicious, especially when it is made
with freshly-ground wheat. We eat a lot of bread
for breakfasts and lunches, and originally bought
wheat from Alberta to grind for our breadbaking
days.
Being the inquisitive folks that we
are, we wondered, “Can we grow our own
wheat?” Well, sure enough, we can and do grow
Hard Red Wheat, perfect for mouth-watering,
nutty-flavored home-made bread and buns.
Though we haven’t yet been brave enough to try growing Quinoa, we did have great success with green Lentils. Customers reported finding that they cook faster than the store-bought variety, and are many times tastier.

Our flour is freshly stone ground from Hard Red Wheat grown right here on our ranch in Telkwa. Nothing has been added, nothing removed. Because this flour still contains the active wheat germ it may go rancid if left at room temperature for a prolonged time. To maintain freshness, use within one week of mill date, or store in fridge or freezer.
