Our Ranch is a multi-generational family farm operating since 1994. Our ultimate goal is to produce an agricultural product that is clean, healthy, and good for the environment. We focus specifically on raising grass-fed, hormone-free prime beef, and are currently experimenting with soil-based products such as hemp, grains, and lentils. In the near future, you will also find available other tasty meats such as pork, lamb and goat as well as a variety of yummy vegetables.
The joy and satisfaction of being able to raise
strong healthy children, and knowing that we
can be fully accountable for our land and our
animals, causes us to continually search for
better ways to practice good land
management and animal
husbandry. Feeding our families
comes first and we are happy when
the community around us can share
in our values and products.
A twenty minute drive from our farm, heading
north-west, will take you to the town of
Smithers. There you will find our favorite five month
Saturday haunt, the Bulkley Valley Farmers’
Market.
The number of vendors climbs each year, and we are proud to number among them. Following the Make, Bake or Grow theme, vendors from all over the Bulkley Valley and Lakes District flock to the Saturday markets, May to October, to sell their wares.
The parking lot of the Smithers Museum is magically transformed into a delightfully friendly meeting place that literally hums with social activity, and market-goers enjoy not only local products, but local entertainment, as well. Performers from all over the area offer up their Saturday mornings to drag their instruments and whatever other gear they might need down to the Market, and once there, provide all the incentive necessary to move a weekend start from ‘pretty good’ to ‘fantastic’. We have made many a new friend at our sales booth, and treasure the appreciation our customers have shown us for faithfully appearing and providing local, top-quality food, each and every Saturday. We look forward to meeting you there as well!
